Souleymane Mori
President
Souleymane was born and raised in Niger Republic. He had polio at age two and lost the use of his right leg. Lost his mother at age ten and his father was not always around. The odds for a boy with all these challenges at such a young age were for him to be a panhandler in the street of Niger. Souleymane knew and come to realize very early in his life that education was his only way out. He walked on crutches four miles daily to get the education he needed in the hope of surviving poverty and children’s disease. He made it to high school where he met his current fellow board members who were classmates back in 1996. Later, Souleymane miraculously made it to the United States of America where he studied Economics at the University of New Hampshire as his undergraduate and later earned an MBA at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He has several years of experience in managing profits and nonprofit organizations. His life experience makes him a devoted believer in helping children, especially young girls, and children with special needs to be supported to go to school and most importantly to stay in school. This is what drove him together with all his classmates from his high school senior year of the College Mariama they attended in Niger, to create Zaouren Zumuntchi ( family hood room ) to primarily help and support children education in Niger.
